"See Through" Embellishment Files in Memory Mixer
The ability to grab any embellishment on a page without having to move other stuff out of the way is a fantastic feature in Memory Mixer. Indeed, it's a massive break through, pardon the pun, for a digital scrapbooking program. It's very helpful for beginners as they can add a photo easily in a Quickmix even if it has multiple frames and more experienced scrappers will find it invaluable for creating clusters. However, you might find it confusing at first if you're used to other programs so here are some tips.
1) You need to grab the actual embellishment and not an imaginary block around it. If you're working on complicated clusters use the zoom tool (bottom left of your screen). In this example I'm grabbing it right through the yellow frame. (In this design it's fine where it is but you might want to add photos to that yellow frame and then the flower would be hidden.)

2) Once you've selected the embellishment you want to move you'll see the grey squares forming a rectangle around it. At this stage you can grab hold of any point in that virtual rectangle to move it but it's best to get into the habit of grabbing the embellishment itself. The only downside to that good habit is you might find other programs are frustrating after using Memory Mixer!
