BIG (Really BIG) Titles
I love big titles! This partly because I make lots of pages without journalling. This might be because they're part of an album and a description of the event on every page is, in the words of my brother "One of the things I don't like about your scrapbooks". No doubt there was an unspoken "many" in front of "things". Sometimes I don't add journalling because there are only so many descriptions of Sharon and John at the beach and the title says it all anyway. Scroll down, though because there is a page with a big title AND journalling!
You need to be brave and go REALLY BIG to make the most of out of this technique. You can always make several copies of a page and try out different sized titles - or just use the Undo button if you don't like it.
Word art is very useful provided the designer has made it big enough. The word art in this Creme de la Creme Pastels kit by CatDesignz is huge so you can leave it huge or shrink it as you like. The first page using this kit is Mum and Dad's Golden Wedding anniversary, the second is Dad's 80th birthday party.

A two part title in this one but it sums up the eventful day. Again, no journalling as it's part of an album.
Yes, I can do big-title-plus-journalling. This one started off with the journalling and photo then the title got bigger and bigger to fill the space. Kit is Denim and Daisies by Just so Scrappy.
This title stretches right across the page disguising the dull cloudy sky in the photo. It's word art plus extra letters and text for the Vigo bit. Word art from Wanderlust by Mel Hains and A Work In Progress.
Small photo, big title.... I love this tiny, battered, low res picture of my Mum and Dad on holiday in Miami back in 1980. The page is a quickpage from If Everybody Had An Ocean by Libby Pritchett with extra embellishments and letters from the coordinating kit.
My favourite is a page where the big title is the main feature. This stunning Sea Breeze word art is by CatDesignz. I also used her Marina template. The colour inside the pool and my T-shirt just happen to coordinate! I used the free focal black and white editing feature in Picmonkey to make most of the photo black and white.
